Officials at Beitbridge Border Post are in panic mode after a gas tanker that may explode at any moment rolled onto a woman’s car today Sunday 29 April at around 7pm and severely injuring her.
The trapped woman has been rushed to a local hospital.
The fuel tank transporting LP gas was leaking and precariously balancing on the woman’s vehicle.
Worried border authorities have called the fire brigade in case of an explosion as they battle to clear the wreck.
The truck was travelling to South Africa while the light vehicle was travelling to Zimbabwe.
Sources told Bulawayo24.com that the truck driver left his vehicle at the south gate to attend to customs procedures when it rolled onto the light vehicle.
South Africa bound traffic is being redirected to an alternative exit route from the blocked gate.
